In the United States, have you ever wanted to know what county a town is in? Or you know the county, but you'd like to know all the cities in that county?
National Association of Counties has your answer, including Google maps.
The site does not include extinct places or counties.

County Search[edit | edit source]
- Find a County
- Select a State from the map or the box (upper right), then select a county from the list
- Search for a County by Name, then select the correct state
Information given on a county page:
- Contacts: courthouse address, phone, website (if available), ability to email elected officials
- County seat
- Year organized
- Link to Google Map View
- Population 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010
- Link to places in the county
City-County Search[edit | edit source]
- City-County Search gives several options:
Search name of city to learn county[edit | edit source]
- Search For County by Name of City
- Enter the name of a city, then search for the county in which that city resides.
- Displays the various states in which that city name occurs, with a link to the county page.
Search zip code to learn county[edit | edit source]
- Search For County by Zip Code
- Displays the state and county and places (incorporated only????) with that zip code.
- Google Map View shows a dotted line for the boundaries of the zip code.

- Find Cities Within a County
- Select a State, click Search, then Select a County
- Lists places
Cities in a State[edit | edit source]
- All Cities in a State
- Select a State, click Search for Cities
- Select a letter of the alphabet to view a listing
- Click a county to go to its page, then click "Places in..." to view all cities within that county
County Seats[edit | edit source]
- Select a State displays an alphabetical list of counties with the county seats.
- Google Map View (not historical) shows roads, allows you to drag and enlarge.
