County Information

Description

Montgomery County was created 2 Oct 1776[2] and was named for Richard Montgomery, a major general in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War and was most famous for leading the unsuccessful 1775 invasion of northeastern Quebec. Its county seat is Rockville. It is located in the northwestern area of the state.[3]
