County Information

Description

Maui County was created on 22 Apr 1903 and was a boy's name of Hawaiian and Maori origin. This name belongs to a trickster god in Polynesian mythology.[1] Its county seat is Wailuku.[2] It is located on the islands of Maui, Lanai, Molokai (except for a portion of Molokai that comprises Kalawao County), Kahoolawe, and Molokini.[3]
