(Redirected from Knowles Collection: Jews of Europe)
Jewish Genealogy > Knowles Collection
Use this record to find the genealogy of many Jews who appear in the records of the countries of Europe. The great advantage of the Knowles Collection is that it links together into family groups, thousands of individual Jews (over 480,000 for this database as of May 2021). Until now, these records were available only at the FamilySearch Library or through individual archives or private individuals.
Among the many sources in this collection are:
- The synagogue records of Mattersdorf, Hungary
- The records of the Ventura family from the Spanish Inquisition.
- The Jewish residents from the 1869 census of Hungary.
- The birth, marriage and death records of the Jews of Bratislava.
- Some of the Jewish people buried at Père-Lachaise Cemetery, Paris, France.
