Description

The county was named for George Wilkins Kendall, a journalist, and Mexican–American War correspondent. The county is located in the south-central area of the state.[1]

History Timeline

Kendall County has been home to two Courthouses. The first one, built in 1870, is still in use, across the street from the current courthouse, built in 1998.
