What is in This Collection?[edit | edit source]

This index covers events from 1883 through 1884. This index is not complete for any particular place, region or time period. This collection may include information previously published in the International Genealogical Index or Vital Records Index collections. The entries are primarily from the International Genealogical Index (IGI) along with some entries derived from compiled and original records such as:

  • Church records
  • Civil registration

Additional records and/or images may be added to this collection in the future.

The following information may be found in these records:

  • Person's Name
  • Gender
  • Names of parents
  • Birth date
  • Birthplace
  • Christening date (if the source is a church record)

How Do I Search This Collection?[edit | edit source]

Use this index to help you learn more about your ancestors. The information could help you identify family relationships and lineages as well as direct you to original records of your ancestors, which may contain additional information.

Each entry in this index has a source listed which includes a batch number. You will need to trace the batch number for the individual entry to learn its source. Please see the articles IGI and IGI Batch Number Descriptions for more information.

I Found the Person I Was Looking For, What Now?[edit | edit source]

  • Add the new information to your records
  • Use the information to find the person in other records
  • Analyze the entry to see if it provides additional clues to find other records of the person or their family

I Can't Find the Person I'm Looking For, What Now?[edit | edit source]

  • Check for them with another name. An individual may appear with only one of their names, an abbreviation of their name, or an alias
  • Try looking in record from neighboring areas
