Description of Collections

Genealogy Reference Collection

The Genealogy Reference Collection contains a large selection of local histories primarily for the state of Illinois. The Reference Collection also includes genealogy sources for colonial and early America, passenger lists, some European sources, and local genealogical society newsletters.

Lundberg Collection

The Lundberg Collection is a rare genealogy collection comprised of books, periodicals, and personal papers dating from the early-19th century to the mid-20th century.

Glenview History Collection

This collection includes local history materials including newspapers, telephone books and directories, Glenbrook North and Glenbrook South yearbooks, maps, and histories relating to the Glenview Naval Air Station as well as local businesses, churches, and neighborhoods. Visit the Glenview History Center for more local history resources.

The Genealogy & Local History Room is staffed by dedicated volunteers who can provide one-on-one research assistance. View the schedule here to see when volunteers are working.
