2. Click on the municipality. This will take you to the municipality's page.

3. In a separate window, open the website FindAGrave
4. From the Cemeteries in Portugal list, choose a district your municipality is in.
5. If you see the municipality listed on the page, click on the link and follow through multiple pages until you get to the cemetery page for the municipality. If you do not see the municipality name, go to #17.
6. The cemetery page looks like this:

FindAGrave Cemetery Page

7. Go back to the municipality page.
8. Locate Cemeteries heading on the page.
9. Click edit source link next to the Cemeteries to edit the information.
10. Delete 2 templates underneath the introductory sentence (Cemeteries did not become popular in Portugal until the late nineteenth century. Prior to this, individuals were buried in their parish church cemetery, and their bones were later removed to an unmarked burial place.)
11. Add the following template under the introductory sentence:

'''NAME OF CEMETERY'''<br>
ADDRESS<br>
PORTUGAL<br>
Website: [CEMETERY PAGE URL FindAGrave]<br>

12. Go back to the cemetery page on FindAGrave. Copy the contact information as follows:
13. Copy the first line which is the name of cemetery and replace NAME OF CEMETERY in the template. The name of the cemetery should not be in all caps.
14. Copy the second line except Portugal and replace ADDRESS in the template. The address of the cemetery should not be in all caps.
15. Replace CEMETERY PAGE URL with the link. Make sure that the link works after you save the page.
16. Most cemetery pages do not give additional contact information. However, if phone number and email are listed, add the following to the template above Website:

 Phone: NUMBER <br>
  • Replace NUMBER with the actual phone number.
 Email: [mailto:EMAIL EMAIL] <br>
  • Replace EMAIL with the actual email address for each instance.
  • Make sure the email address is copied twice into the template, with a space between the two emails.

17. If no cemeteries are found on the website, delete both templates for cemetery contact information.
18. If there is more than one cemetery, repeat the process.
19. Click Save page button.
