Task List
Instructions
1. Open the Task List, and add your name to the Name column for the parishes you want to sign up for.
2. Open the Bristol, England, Church of England Baptisms, 1813-1922 collection on Ancestry.com.
- You do not have to be signed in to Ancestry to work on this project.
3. Locate the right-hand side of the collection page in the box called "Browse this collection".
4. Locate the "County" dropdown, and select the corresponding location based on Column D in the task list.
5. Then, click the "Parish" dropdown, and check if the parish from the task list appears in the dropdown list of parishes.
- a. If the parish does appear, put "Yes" in the In collection? column, and continue to step 6.
- b. If the parish does not appear, put "No" in the In collection? and in the Added to wiki page? columns of the task list, and continue on to the next parish.
6. Using the following Wiki lists of parishes, locate a matching parish name and go to that Wiki page.
- If the location in Column D says "Bristol", refer to the Gloucestershire Parishes AND Somerset Parishes lists to find a matching parish.
- If the location in Column D says "Gloucesetershire", refer to the Gloucestershire Parishes list to find a matching parish.
- If the location in Column D says "Somerset", refer to the Somerset Parishes list to find a matching parish.
- If you can't find a good match in either list, put "No" in Column F, and make a note "No corresponding parish" in Column G of the task list, and continue on to the next parish in the task list.
7. Go to the Church of England heading of the corresponding Wiki parish page, and click "Edit source".
8. Copy the following code:
| bgcolor="#ffffff" width="30%"| Ancestry-Bristol ($)
| bgcolor="#E8E8E8"| <center>[https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/61685/ 1800s-1900s] </center>
| bgcolor="#E8E8E8"| <center>'''-'''</center>

| bgcolor="#ffffff" | <center>'''-'''</center>
| bgcolor="#E8E8E8" | <center>'''-'''</center>

9. Locate the section of the parish table that says | bgcolor="#ffffff" width="30%"| Ancestry-England & Wales, Birth, Christening, Marriage and Death Indexes ($), and add one empty line above that section of the table (see the yellow line in the image below).
- You may also use Ctrl+F to search for this section of the parish table, if that is easier.
10. Paste the code from step 8 into the empty line you just created. (See example in yellow of finished code below)
11. Click "Show preview", and look at the final parish table. You should see the following new section added for East Sussex (see yellow in image below)
12. If the table looks correct, add the following statement to the "Summary" box:

13. Save the page.
14. Put "Yes" to the Added to wiki page? column of the Task List.
15. Continue on to the next parish.
