Purpose
Adding a record collection to Marriage section
Task List
Instructions
- Open the task list.
- Go to Part 6 at the bottom of the page. The following photo illustrates where you can find it:
- Place your name by the page that you want to edit.
- Click on the link in the "Page" column to take you to the page.
- Once on the page, look for "Marriages" in the table of contents, click on that link.
- This will take you to the "Marriages" section of the page. Click on the edit source button next to the heading.
- Copy the following code:
*'''1640-1955''' {{RecordSearch|2658554|Connecticut, Charles R. Hale Collection, Vital Records, 1640-1955}} — index - Paste it into the text box right under ====Marriages====. It will look like the following:
- Click "Show preview" to make sure that the collection was copied correctly. It should look like the following:
- If everything looks good, save the page. If something is off, correct the code and then save the page.
- Once you've finished adding the collection, go back to the task list, mark the date you completed it in the "Date" column, and move on to the next page.
