The FamilySearch Research Wiki is a free, online genealogical guide that lists websites, explains records, gives research strategies, and suggests other resources to help you find your ancestors from countries around the world.
Submit Content or Report a Problem on the Wiki
Use the link below to fill out a form to submit information to the Wiki. Examples of information includes:
- New online database containing genealogical information
- Link to a genealogical society or library for a county
- Report any broken links or errors you see in the Wiki
- List of resources found in an archive or library
- Report inaccurate historical or geographical information
- Report a typo

Editing the Wiki
- Editing Suspended on English Wiki Content - March 31, 2024: To properly communicate these changes to all Wiki editors, all new and current Wiki editors will be required to complete Wiki training. Until the training is provided, editing the English Wiki will be turned off for all new and current community editors on March 31, 2024.
- Wiki Manual of Style Training: FamilySearch staff are creating Wiki contributor training to educate members of the community in the standard of wiki edits as contained in the Wiki Manual of Style. Training videos will be provided July 1, 2024. Those interested in editing the Wiki shall complete this training to receive editing rights.
- Submit Content to the FamilySearch Wiki: In the interim between March 31, 2024 and July 1, 2024, those who wish to contribute to the Wiki will be encouraged to use the Submit Wiki Content/Report a Problem form. FamilySearch Staff will review the requests and update the Wiki accordingly.
