Description[edit | edit source]

Elmore County was created on 15 February 1866 and was named for General John A. Elmore.[2] Its county seat is Wetumpka.[3] It is located in the central area of the state.

Probate Judge has marriage and land records from 1867, birth and death records 1909-1913, probate records from 1866 and military discharge records.[4]
