The Contra Costa County Genealogical Society is a non profit organization for people that have an interest in genealogy. Whether you are an expert or are just beginning to question who your great grandparents were we have something for everyone.
Purpose of Society:
- To promote knowledge of and interest in genealogy via meetings, newsletter, classes, lectures, and publications.
- To assist individuals in their own research.
- To discover and preserve records, archives, and articles of historical cultural and genealogical interest.
- To participate in service projects benefitting individuals and the community at large.
Look-up services: Donations requested.
Cost of Membership: Individuals $20, Family $30 (for 2 or more).
How to Join: Form can be gotten from the website and mailed in or given at the general meeting.
Newsletter: Our newsletter "Diablo Descendants" is published monthly and sent via email, mailed newsletters are sent at a cost for printing and postage.
General Meetings: The second Thursday of every month except August at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Building, 1360 Alberta Way, Concord CA,94521, at 7 p.m.
Board Meetings: The third Thursday of every month except August and December at the FamilySearch Center, 3700 Concord Blvd, Concord CA 94519, at 7 p.m.
