History

GLYN-COLLWYN, a chapelry, in the parish of Llanvigan, hundred of Pencelly, union and county of Brecknock, South Wales, 10 miles (S. S. E.) from Brecknock. This place, the name of which signifies "the glen of hazel-wood," is pleasantly situated on the upper part of the small river Carvanell, which falls into the Usk at Tàl-y-Bont.
