County Information
Description
The county was named for the word calumet, the French name for the ceremonial pipes used by Native Americans in councils on the east shore of Lake Winnebago. The county is located in the east area of the state.[2]

Register of Deeds has birth records from 1851, marriage records from 1846, divorce records from 1866 and land records from 1840.
Clerk of the Circuit Court has divorce records from 1880 and court records from 1877.

- Appleton Public Library Obituary Index: Appleton is situated on the Fox River, in Outagamie, Calument and Winnebago counties.
