County Information

Description

Barbour County was created on 18 December 1832 and named in honor of James Barbour, who served as Governor of Virginia.[2] Its county seat is Clayton.[3] It is located in the southeastern area of the state.[4]

Judge of Probate has marriage probate and land records from 1800's.
