History

Ballinderry is a civil and ecclesiastical parish in the union of Lurgan, barony of Upper massareene. The living is a vicarage, in the diocese of Connor. The church was erected in 1821.

There is an old graveyard in the Town-land of Templecormac. It is found near the remains of an old church.

In the Roman Catholic divisions the parish forms part of the district of Aughagallon and Ballinderry. The chapel is a small building. The church register begins in 1828 and contains baptisms, marriages, and deaths/burials.

Church of Ireland

Registers begin in 1805 for baptisms and deaths/burials and 1840 for marriages. The original registers are in local custody.

Presbyterian

There is a place of worship in Ballinderry for Presbyterians, but it is not known what registers exist.
