Armagh is a city, market and post town as well as a parish. It is the head of a union. Armagh sits partly in the barony of O'Neilland West, but most of it is the barony of Armagh in the county of Armagh, province of Ulster.
Ecclesiastly, Armagh is considered the head of all Ireland because St. Patrick founded it.
The Armagh parish consists of a rectory and vicarage in the diocese of Armagh. The parish of Armagh was consolidated and united to the parishes of Eglish, Lisnadill, and Ballymoyer.
The various places of worship outside the Church of Ireland are: churches for Presbyterians, Seceders, Evangelical or Independent Congregational union, and Wesleyan Methodists and one for Primitive Methodists.
