Although the library’s large collection is geared to course material offered at the college, it also contains a wide range of general interest material. Also included in the library services area is ample study and reading space, lounge area and typing rooms.

A repository for legal texts. Of interest to genealogists are the Canadian Law Lists from 1923 (incomplete) providing information on practicing lawyers, arranged by province, then locality. Also some American and International lists.

Located on the main floor of the Legislative Building, the Provincial Legislative Library maintains the best collection of Alberta newspapers. A computerized index identifies the community and years available (from early 1900). Some are available on microfilm which are available through interlibrary loan.

There is no staff available during evening openings to access microfilm, however, they can be obtained by phoning beforehand to have them ready for your visit.
