Brief History

The 84th Regiment, Illinois Infantry was organized at Quincy, Illinois, and mustered in September 1, 1862. It moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and had duty there until June 1865. The regiment mustered out at Nashville, Tennessee, June 8, and was discharged June 16, 1865.
