Brief History

"Organized at Jonesboro, Georgia, in June, 1861, and in July moved to Virginia. Its companies were recruited in the counties of Clayton, Chattahoochee, De Kalb, Wilcox, Bibb, Richmond, Fayette, and Pulaski.
